At least one-third of the working day in the life of an average worker is at the workplace. We believe the environment within and around the workplace should be very relaxed, yet engaging enough for users – a place where they look forward to visit. Certain features and elements have been incorporated into our design proposal to help achieve this aim.
Starting from the main entrance, a projected “concrete box” bevels inwards towards the glass entrance door to draw people in. The concrete box is cladded with timber to project a warm welcome to the office; on entry, the entire office can be seen at a glance helping to promote and stimulate the new world of work where transparency and interactions are key.
Three new large windows are created to bring in natural light to further enhance the quality of the interior spaces. Hoods are incorporated to frame the windows with the sills projecting into the room to serve as seating ledges where members of staff can use to take a break away from their desks. Timber floor, pebble beds, bright walls, dynamic cabinetry and bespoke furniture give this office its unique outlook.
